Missing something
This is literally the Doha sky 99% of the time on a good day, the rest of the time is just beige, not a cloud in sight.I think clouds are important for sanity’s sake!

United Nude Store
Passed by United Nude store in Amsterdam which looked interesting, the store had simple square and floating shelving units that spanned the walls and back lit as you can see below, what’s nice was moving from the natural to the artificial light...mm eh it’s ok.

IBM AD Campaign
These are really really cool posters for IBM done by Named Bar and graphic designer Tanya Holbrook

Pantone Hotel
Might have been pretentious staying there as designer but it was ok, could have been better.Still good value for money at 59 Euro a night.
Ice Cream

Was coming out of the DDR Museum and found this on the floor, I just had to take the picture.

Wanted

I am have been attempting to start this project ‘Landfill’ which is basically a magazine about cultural, design and art ideas from around the world, and attempting to have the content in different languages dependent on the contributor’s‘Landfiller’ native or preferred language.
Landfill will live online initially ‘landfillworld.org’ and at the moment it is just a page with nothing on it, so any ideasare welcome and please hesitate, this more of a collective effort to gather ideas and thoughts from all around theworld and disseminate it.

Augmented Reality for real?

while many augmented reality application use mobile phones or other interactive devices, university of washinton professor babak amir parviz and his students want to embed AR technology right into the eye. parviz and his students have been working on AR embedded contact lenses that utilize sensors and wireless technology. right know the technology is in its early days, but researchers hope that one day hundreds of semitransparent LEDs can be embedded onto a thin lens to create a display for users. this eye implanted display would most likely rely on an external device for controls and processing. it could be used for entertainment purposes or even to monitor one’s health. next time you go to getyour eyes checked at the doctor, they may also be able to offer you the latest contact lens display.

Curitiba
Well it’s the third time I go there, reasons being that wife comes from there and the great Museu Oscar Niemeyernicknamed the Eye Museum, hence the big huge eye like structure that stands in front of the main building designed in 1967 as a public school, and by the time it was inaugurated in 1978, became a public admin facility for the city of Curitiba during the years of the Military junta until 2001, it opened again as a museum, and I think it is one of the best museums I have been to so far.

and the other thing was the Jardim Botanico which is really great to just lie down on the green grasswhich I don’t see that much of here.

Free Range 2009
Middle of this year I was London for a few days in my way to Brazil and managed to see some graduation showsat Brick Lane and one of them was the Free Range 2009 which a collective of universities from Englandsharing the same space, quite a lot of students, majority of the work was same as it ever was but therewere some good pieces of work.

Caixa Forum in Madrid
This building is probably one of the best I have seen from the outside, as you can seeit has vertical garden wall next to the main building which still maintains part of the oldarchitecture in Madrid combined with aging steel cladding in the top half of it, pretty impressive as you get closer to it.

Round House
Went to see La Clique at the Round House which is pretty cool theatre as I was really impressed by the sculpture standingon the edge of the building as you can in the see in the photographs I have taken below, for a split second I did think it was somebody about to jump.

and as we went inside i noticed the stencil pained way finding signage which sat pretty nicely on the concrete walls of the theatre.

Floating street lights
Xmas lights in Madrid where each street lights were done by different designers/artistsand fashion designers.

Free hugs in London

We met this guy in London who is part of this world wide movement for free hugsgo on give him a hug, he is available most sundays and evenings around Speakers corner, Hyde Park.

Lost entries
Well I have lost the whole hard disk on this MacBook Pro and lost everything on it, alhumdulilah for back up managed to back up on two separate external hard diskswhich included fourteen thousand images from iphoto which roughly seven yearsof taking pictures, so I had to do rebuild the website from scratch or work on the topof the template again and the same time managed to update the type sizes andleadings etc, lets hope I keep this site/blog updated and going for a long time.
Coincidence 1972
We bought this bag in Amsterdam for 30 Euros in one of the markets, and we thoughtoh how appropriate since it was around September

After a year or so, found a 1972 Munich Olympics site that sells 1972 paraphernaliaand some really great stuff from posters to the ceramic medals below.

Transit
Footage that I took a few years back while traveling and I feel that I am still in transit between jobs, countries and places where the only constants in my life are my wife, family, where I come from and the passion to seek knowledge.
That didn't take long
I just restarted myself after pressing the Command Z.and start the Seek Knowledge project
Under construction
I have taken down the old site for now. Keep checking for a newer, shinier, bigger, better version in due time. Until then,
